GMWS-2024

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on individuals, communities, and the world as a whole. In Canada, the pandemic has brought with it unprecedented challenges, including physical health risks, economic instability, social isolation, and increased stress and anxiety. As a result, the theme of “Embracing Wellness: A world united in balancing minds” is incredibly relevant and important for a conference.

Follow abstract submission guidelines

Track 1: Prevention & Early Intervention.
Exploring innovative approaches to prevent and intervene in mental health and substance misuse disorders, including risk factors, protective factors, and strategies to enhance resilience..
Track 2: Treatment and Recovery.
Examining effective and evidence-based interventions and treatments for mental health and substance misuse disorders, including pharmacological, behavioral, and psychosocial approaches.
Track 3: Policy and Advocacy.
Investigating policy approaches and advocacy efforts that support mental health and substance misuse prevention, intervention, and recovery at the local, national, and international levels.
Note: Early bird abstract submission deadline is May 31st, 2024 11.59pm ADT. Please email your abstracts to nac@globalmws.org.
Limited community scholarships for national delegates whose abstracts and workshops are accepted for presentations.
